Alternate Programming & Video – The clock is ticking…

I have just posted the draft Escapade schedule. This is your chance to take a look at it, and decide which of the nearly 24 hours of available alternate programming and/or video you’d like to sign up for. And here’s the catch, you have 24 hours to do it in! You’ll know which hours are available by the little “Available” markings in the right-hand column. Leave a comment here, or drop an email to info AT escapadecon.net, and let us know which hour you’d like, and what you’d like to do with it. Just in case someone beats you to your preferred time-slot, give us an alternate spot you’d like.

If we get your request in the next 24 hours (by 8 pm on Tuesday) your panel or video request will be publicized in the printed program book & pocket program. After that time, we’ll still accept requests, but they will receive less promotion.

Panelists Needed ASAP

Several of the highest vote-getting fandom panels didn’t have any volunteers to lead. If one of these is your show, please volunteer to lead in the next 24 hours, or we’ll promote another panel into it’s place:

  • Iron Man: Comic book sex!

  • Professionals – fanon vs canon. . .

T minus 8 days… and the panel cut

Somewhere during our traditional “lag about ramp-up and finalization of schedule” process, we got sick. I mean, *really sick*. Going to the doctors sick. Calling in sick to work and wanting to die sick.

We are getting well now, and we ask only for your compassion and support as we run a few days later than is usual for us.

Also, because our attendance is smaller (*damn you, recession!*) we are taking this wonderful opportunity to offer you “ESCAPADE: THE BOUTIQUE CONVENTION.” Our intent is to really enjoy this opportunity to spend more quality time with more people, to remember what Escapade has always intended to be about: community, brilliance in our community, laughter in our community (and hotsex and food).

The list of panels is below the cut. We really look forward to seeing you, enjoying panels, eating food, and talking hotsex.

Panel Ballot – Deadline Sunday Night

So far, we have 53 responses on the panel ballot. This means that fewer than half of you have stated your preferences for Escapade 19 programming. Act now, or forever hold your peace! The panel ballot closes tomorrow at 11 pm PT.

A Canadian production also airing on CBS, Flashpoint offers gear porn, sniper porn, tough guys and gals who also have tender hearts, and a great seasoned vet slash pairing. Clips will be shown, a vid, and discussion of fic.

Panel Ballot Status Report #1

Note: the write-in responses don’t show there, but I’ve included the ones received so far below the cut, and will continue to update the Escapade site and the LJ community every couple of days. Leave a comment here to let us know if one (or more) of the write-in topics inspires you.

If you haven’t weighed in, please be sure to go here and vote for your favorite panels! Remember, if you don’t vote, or don’t volunteer to lead panels, they may not get scheduled. ::voice of doom:: The fate of the convention is in your hands!
